After years of financial abuse, actor Mickey Rooney came forward last week before Congress so that others may know what to do to help their parents.

Famous actor Mickey Rooney testified last week before the Senate Aging Committee that he was a victim of financial abuse by a family member, raising the awareness that financial fraud can prey on anyone.

"My money was taken and misused. When I asked for information, I was told that I couldn't have any of my own information," Rooney told the committee. "I was literally left powerless." The 90-year-old actor currently has a restraining order against his stepson.
